A suger-free custard powder for all your favourite yummy desserts and puddings! Just add some sugar, your favourite vegan milk, heat and it's ready. Depending to the amount of added milk, the custard can be thicker or thinner according to your recipe: custard cream, pie filling, pancakes... (you may also take a big spoon and eat it straight from the saucepan with lots of loud "yumyumyum". ..)
Instructions: Put 2 tablespoons (35g) of custard powder and 1-2 tablespoons (15g-35g) of sugar in a large bowl.
2. Mix into a smooth paste with a little (approx. 2 tablespoons) vegan milk taken from 1 pint (568ml).
3. Heat the remaining milk to nearly boiling and - IMPORTANT - pour onto the custard mix (not the other way around for best results), stirring well.
4. Return to the saucepan and bring to the boil over a gentle heat, stirring continuously.
Notes: the thickness of the custrad can be varied depending on the amount of milk. Sugar can be adapted to your taste.
