An essential condiment to add a typical egg-like flavour! It contains primarily sodium chloride which gives it its salty taste and iron sulfide for its pinkish-gray to violet colour. Hydrogen sulphide gives it its very particular sulpherous smell and "eggy" aroma and flavour. The salt has a deceivingly egg-like taste and will lend the typical "boiled egg aroma" to many dishes such as omelettes and quiches but also curries and other Indian dishes...
