Like Iberico ham, but leaving the pigs in peace. Here's the latest vegan revolution from Spain with Rollitto vegano, a young vegan start-up created last year by Hugo and Alex. Spanish vegans are raving about this sinjamón and we are delighted to be the first to import it. Made from wheat gluten and acorn flour, the slices of this Sinjamón are very thin and tear like the animal animal-based cured ham. Ideal for eating on its own with a drizzle of olive oil, but also on pizzas, in sandwiches, on toast and on a "cold meat" platter.
Ingredients: water, wheat gluten, raw virgin coconut oil, rice flour, flavouring (flavouring, invert sugar, emulsifier: glycerine), salt, beetroot colouring (beetroot and carrot concentrate), flavouring (yeast extract, salt, sunflower oil), acorn flour, white colouring E170, acidifying agent: citric acid, preservative: ascorbic acid and black colouring: charcoal.
